Acupuncture
What should I wear for an Acupuncture session?
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to acupuncture points, typically on the arms, legs, and back. You may need to partially undress, but you will be appropriately draped at all times.
Im a little worried about needles. How small are Acupuncture needles
Acupuncture needles are much finer than the needles used for injections by GPs. There is no comparison. They are typically about the thickness of a human hair, and their insertion is usually painless or causes only a mild sensation and most describe the treatment as calming and relaxing.
Each needle is opened from a sterile pack at the appointment and disposed of in a Sterile Sharps bin after.
What are the contraindications for Acupuncture?
While Acupuncture is suitable for most people it may not be ideal if you have any bleeding disorders, Acupuncture is used extensively for fertility and pregnancy issues however certain points are not used when you are pregnant (so let me know beforehand and we will avoid these points ) , skin infections at the acupuncture site, and metal Silicone allergies.
Please let me know as much as you can, in regards to your full medical history.
Acupuncture
How Many Treatments Will I Need
The benefits of acupuncture are cumulative, so more then one treatment is necessary. Each person is unique.
For acute conditions, depending on the type, severity, and duration of the condition. you can expect to have 4 - 6 treatments, but you will usually begin to feel relief after just the first few. Initally treatments may be close together and then less frequent as the condition improves.
It all depends on how long it takes to train your body to react to the needles.
Most people book Preventative treatments and treatments for general well-being.
How will i feel after my treatment?
Most find it relaxing and calming.
Occasionally 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, some people may experience mood changes and physiological changes, as sight changes to bowel and bladder function. This indicates that the body is responding to the treatment. Do let me know if you are concerned about anything.
Dos and Don'ts
Dos: Eat a light meal beforehand, stay hydrated, inform your practitioner of any medications or supplements you are taking, and relax during the treatment. Drink lots of water after each treatment.

Cupping can sometimes leave some
temporary marks on theskin.
They can be light pink or even dark purple, depending on the
intensity of the treatment.
These marks are a
normal response to the therapy and

Indian Head Massage
What is an Indian Head Massage?
An Indian Head Massage is a deeply relaxing treatment that focuses on your head, neck, shoulders, and upper back. It helps release tension, improve circulation, and promote a sense of calm and balance.
Do you use oils during the treatment?
Yes, I use high-quality natural oils during the massage. The oils nourish the scalp and enhance relaxation, but please note that your hair and face may feel oily afterwards.
Should I wash my hair before the appointment?
It’s best not to arrive with freshly washed hair, as oils absorb more effectively on dry hair and scalp. You may want to plan your appointment on a day when you don’t mind having oil in your hair afterward.
Can I wear makeup or hair products?
It’s recommended to come with minimal or no makeup, as oils may transfer to the skin. Avoid using heavy styling products before your session for the best results.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable and avoid tight collars or delicate fabrics, as oils may come into contact with clothing.
How will I feel after the massage?
You might feel deeply relaxed or even sleepy. Give yourself some quiet time afterward and drink plenty of water to help your body release tension fully.
